I just now took the time to read over this.. but it sounds like it converts your
forum's software to something different if you use it (for instance you can fake say, myBB with it if you use phpBB).
Don't ask how the forumotion converter works though

This more than likely isn't the place to ask this but there's no way possible for me to delete this poll in my DD (I think i've ran it long enough now .) I think its a glitch because I vaugely remember deleting a poll sometime in the past

Also I think we could use a topic to ask site questions like we had in 2010 before it was archived.

TB what happens if you edit the post that you started the poll on? Is there some information about a poll including a checkbox "Delete poll"?

If there's not I'll do the same thing for Josh but that's kind of odd it won't let you do it on your own, so I just want to make sure you can't, if that's ok

I have a suggestion - putting the year in the posts, or at least ones not from the current year. I was in some SM related threads and noticed the lack of year.

Not of particular importance, just something that was nagging me.

Just what I was thinking the other day, it would be very useful.

You can change your settings where the yea is displayed on the posts:

Go to Profile> Preferences >Date Format

and change it there, I have mine set to display:

November 2nd, 2012 2:54 PM

there is also 11/2/12 2:54 PM

if the post is recent, with 2 days, it says

Today at 2:54 PM
or
Yesterday at 2:54 PM

There are others also, just whatever suits you.

yes, and not to mention the thunder of SK, and about every other small site that does TS3 related things.
SMP is a sim's everything site at heart, SM is an SC4 site, there's a difference there. I don't think it would hurt anyone in any way, just to have one little board about it while the other sites have whole entire sections dedicated to it.

Assuming you're referring to The Sims 3, I think a thread in the other games section will suffice. What's the interest like in those other threads on the other sites?

It does look like there might be some interest in a minecraft board though. I think a TS3 board is more like simopsis, but there seems to be a huge minecraft community here, judging on the chat. I guess it's just a thought.

I suppose you're right about the TS3 boards, but there's a large Minecraft community here (me, clayton, brian, and several others). That would hold much more appeal IMO.

I can tell you TS3 is starting to take off at Simopsis, and I'm working to build that section of the site. Covering multiple games appeals to a wider base and more activity. I can tell you there definitely is demand for it, however when only a minor board does not always fare as well. It's hard to tell, because there are probably hundreds/thousands of sites approx. the size of SM covering TS3.

Diversification is definitely a good idea, so it'd be cool to see a minecraft board here. I don't play but I'd like to see what others do. It has certainly helped simopsis, that's for sure.

Personally, I'm not a fan of having boards that aren't used, but I've asked several people in chat, and they say minecraft boards would get a ton of use. It seems like there is a lot of demand for minecraft boards for the community as a whole, and I don't think they would go to waste if we had them. Thoughts on the idea?

I personally would use the Minecraft board, and I know many others would as well. Sounds like a good idea to me!
