I don't know if you've done this yet or not for v3, but it'd be nice to have the reputation system, like what frex's and link's sites have. It does come with FM, you just have to enable it.

I think we'll be seeing something down that line in 3.0

I was not sure if this was gonna be implemented in 3.0, or if forum motion allows it, but this is something that always has me confused.

It's plausible, just requires some crafty code. You'd have to hide those 2 menu options, then create 2 new ones. At least that's why I did.

I don't remember if it was Blake or Matt who wanted that to say "community" (I didn't quite agree either) but there will be a "home" and "forums" in 3.0, the former being the portal, so it should make much more sense

A rather small suggestion here... there's a few misspellings in forum headings, descriptions, etc. Maybe those could be fixed? It's not too important, but if it can be done quickly and easily, it'll improve the site.

As far as "community," don't blame Matt for that one. It was my idea. I was trying to come up with something other than the old "Simmania news," but I'm assuming it wasn't the best change. Anyway, that will be fixed in SM3, as K50 said. We won't have it for much longer.

As far as misspellings in the board headers, I'll run through a check and try to update some of that. There's a lot to run through, but hopefully we can get that fixed.

I always thought we should switch those around. But figured as long as everyone knew where they were going we were fine.

I can help go through some of the spelling issues as well. Sometimes I tend to rush the description part.

Not sure what you guys think, I was gonna use it for an old site I made on Zetaboards, and I saw it supported forumotion too.

It's a little trick to read it, but it sounds interesting, what does it do?

I just now took the time to read over this.. but it sounds like it converts your
forum's software to something different if you use it (for instance you can fake say, myBB with it if you use phpBB).
Don't ask how the forumotion converter works though

This more than likely isn't the place to ask this but there's no way possible for me to delete this poll in my DD (I think i've ran it long enough now .) I think its a glitch because I vaugely remember deleting a poll sometime in the past

Also I think we could use a topic to ask site questions like we had in 2010 before it was archived.

TB what happens if you edit the post that you started the poll on? Is there some information about a poll including a checkbox "Delete poll"?

If there's not I'll do the same thing for Josh but that's kind of odd it won't let you do it on your own, so I just want to make sure you can't, if that's ok

I have a suggestion - putting the year in the posts, or at least ones not from the current year. I was in some SM related threads and noticed the lack of year.

Not of particular importance, just something that was nagging me.

Just what I was thinking the other day, it would be very useful.

You can change your settings where the yea is displayed on the posts:

Go to Profile> Preferences >Date Format

and change it there, I have mine set to display:

November 2nd, 2012 2:54 PM

there is also 11/2/12 2:54 PM

if the post is recent, with 2 days, it says

Today at 2:54 PM
or
Yesterday at 2:54 PM

There are others also, just whatever suits you.

yes, and not to mention the thunder of SK, and about every other small site that does TS3 related things.
SMP is a sim's everything site at heart, SM is an SC4 site, there's a difference there. I don't think it would hurt anyone in any way, just to have one little board about it while the other sites have whole entire sections dedicated to it.
