wow very nice city K50. I love the park however I think (and this is personal opinion) that the fountains should be more spread out instead of in one straight line.

This isn't an official update, just a few teasers from my coming simlympic bid I want to share with you all. These are the first pictures of the second New Chandler City as well, so enjoy!

It's time to ride the New Chandler Metro for the first time in NC 2.0! Today we will ride the 8 line the entire "short" length. The 8 line goes from the Central Core up through Winchester. Every other line continues on about 8 more stations to Andersen.


Here is a sign from the platform from our train. This particular line is the only one to have its own platform on the metro. Looks like we will have three minutes to sip on some coffee. This is a sign that hangs above the platform.


And we are off!


The first station is Canal Avenue. This station intersects with the A line, a line that pretty much marks the boundary of the Central Core. On two sides, this one included, the line borders Raintree Canal.


And now, THIS IS WHERE YOU SHOULD VOTE! What do you see looking good at this station? These crossroads are very popular and desirable, so think hard about it. The station will be named accordingly.


This station is home of a popular parking garage. Schaffer Avenue goes from the Miracle Mile in La Brea clear out to Downtown Compton, a very good distance.


The main bus station for Winchester isn't far from this station. This is the last station before we go underground into Downtown Winchester.


South Winchester Station is a heavy rail and metro station, however, it is currently being bypassed and renovated. This is a proposal for a new station that will be built there (notice the wavy lights)


This park and ride station has most parking spots per train on the metro system. Four lines and thousands of spots in the garage make this an attractive parking spot.


Just for fun, one of the signs in the lobby of the station.


Now we see daylight again in a familiar sight, the University of Winchester. This station is on the east side of the quad.


Well, our ride has ended for today. Holkom Park is another large parking garage station near Holkom Park, a beautiful park.


And while we look back when we enter the green oasis shadowed by a few tall residential buildings nearby, we see another sign.

Wow! Great detail on that transit update. As for the vote: I think a nice shopping mall would be nice for that area and the name of the mall/ station: Shops of Winchester(station)

One of the biggest updates in the history of the New Chandler City Journal. No voting, no fancy stuff, just the city of Doherty.

At the bottom of this picture are poor slums. At the top are rich homes. Driving one way and your car can get keyed. On the other there are college students in the latest fashions walking to White University (at the left of this picture)


A glimpse of Mount Doherty, a protected area, and the city below it.


The rich side is full of beautiful colors.

The quad of White University. This particular school gives out more scholarships and financial aid than any other school in the country. It's a beautiful place to go to school and get away from the drugs and crime and poverty, and a place to meet with the rich kids and be happy.

Absolutely not... I still want to use about a third maxis in my cities (although if it was residential I would be all over it )

The Sophanem Spire is a large radio and observation tower. It is the third tallest building in the city.


Near the Sunset Pier a new statue made out of brass has been erected.


A desalinization plant removes saline (salt) from Mitchell Lagoon to provide the water of Sophanem and northern Doherty. Southern Doherty (previous entry) and Roseburgh (coming soon) are two other cities on the same island that make up Pelham Province and have their own desalinization plants.


A common sight in Sophanem, houses, apartments, religions structures, etc.


The spire of a church shines in the sunlight. Churches are relatively rare in Pelham, as 90% of the population in this province are Muslim.


The old and famous Red Mosque.


If you go up the roads you may have seen an open area. This is part of the Diplomatic Palace of Sophanem, where political leaders (presidents, prime ministers, etc) stay. Flags of New Chandler tower above it.

those are some great pictures, I love the avenue that runs along the beach there. The only critic i have is all those apartments (or condos) are all too similar and i feel as though i'm looking at the same stuff. But still very good work

New update is coming this weekend! It is a few maps of New Chandler 2.0, so you will know where things are. It will also show the government system and the National Green (like The Mall in Washington D.C. for New Chandler).

Also, voting has closed from Winchester... I am pleased to announce that mayorm from Simmania got the idea (ritzy shops) and Benedict from Simtropolis Forums got the name (Kensington). You will see the results next time!

To start, there is finally a map of New Chandler. Today, we are in New Chandler City, the large green area in the southwest corner. Particular the Central Core, which is just above the peninsula to the east of Raintree Cove.


Well guess what, you only get two pictures today. Click them, you'll be glad you did. (one of the smaller forum-sized ones is being a little "trippy" but if you click it you should still get something).

There are about 1366x3200, one is a bit larger, one a bit smaller.
