History repeats itself.

So, here's the rankings. Teams that win are higher and then its in order of points per game, and then if there's a tie in that, it's in average points allowed (there was one tie for second).

The conference standings are what determines the playoffs, though. The top 4 will go from each conference. I named the conferences "1" and "2", because we need to think of names!!



EDIT: So I already see a mistake - the Lakers didn't play a conference game; I'll change that. But yeah, no conference games this week.

I'm so glad the league has been successful and enjoyable so far!

I think I got one, the Naismith Conference!

We could go with the ever-original Conference A and Conference B...
or maybe IBC (Int'l B-ball Conference) and WBC (World B-ball Conference)
or could go with naming after players, maybe Johnson and Jordan Conference?

The Bill Russell Conference and the Wilt Chamberlain Conference

I think I am kinda leaning towards IBC and WBC just because of all the arguments that would incur over what basketball players to name the leagues for.

Okay, so I think from now on, we will have 2 games of the week with very in-depth updates and all.

The other 5 games will mainly just be stats and scores - short updates - due to how busy I am already. Don't worry, though - every team will get a Game of the Week eventually!

So those games will be played on the weekends (Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays), while all normal games will be posted during the week.

Tonight I plan on posting two games (the first two on the schedule):
-Tyros Bobcats @ Montreal Spurs
-Lyon Lakers @ Quebec City Mavericks

The Cats took an early lead; eventually holding off two late-game Spur runs to advance to a surprising 2-0.


Manu Ginobili shoots as time expires in the first.


Kemba Walker was once again Tyros' Player of the Game.


The Cats dominated nearly every statistical aspect of the game.

Lakers Dominate OT to Take Game

It took 5 quarters to decide this one - but in OT the Lakers pulled away in dramatic fashion, getting the crucial road win.


Although not the leading scorer, Pau Gasol cinched the POG award with 21 boards. Kobe Bryant dominated overtime, scoring 10.
