Nürnberg tram

Awesome... People may think that the trains are an eyesore compared with the surrounding scenery, but I think they're really nice. If only Dr. Beeching hadn't have got rid of loads of Britain's railways in the 1960's...

@Samerton: I hope the number of thoose who dislike to see trains reduces in future, especially the american but also other societies have to reduce their use of cars, on their own will or forced by gas prices.....

Excellent pictures!

And freight transport on rail is still fairly common in many of the US states, (particularly Union Pacific), although costs have brought it down recently.

@CG: Freight traiffic on rail has future, especially in countries where you've got very long distances to cover. It's very energy efficient.

But my favorite american rail related companies are Amtrak and NJ transit xD Btw. I'm hoping for some american trainpics in here
