I accidentally loaded my heavily modded world with a clean 1.8 minecraft.jar, so it completely erased all the mod content in that world. Oh well, things can be replaced... when said mods are updated to 1.8.

1.8 was delayed again, but the second prerelease is great. Many annoying bugs were squashed, but quite a few remain.

Whiners on the minecraft forums are complaining about it constantly getting postponed, but i honestly don't think they can release 1.8 fully in it's current state... too many bugs.
