CloudyStatus (slogan "The Uptime and Optimization Guys") is an Indianapolis, Indiana, USA-based website maintenance and security service. They offer website monitoring, global website caching/optimization, and more services to come soon. Your site's uptime is checked via changing your nameservers to Cloudy's NS servers, and if it cannot request you site in any of our 4 locations, we will e-mail you saying your site is possibly down, and if we cannot reach it anywhere, we e-mail you saying it's down everywhere. Along with the nameserver-based website monitoring, since the "CloudyNetwork" has dual servers in the US and Europe (2 in the US and 2 in Europe), your site is proxied (and cached) through our network. Our network only uses the best virtual private servers, with a minimum connection of 100Mbps, 1GB RAM and 50GB HDD, and hosts that are reputable on lowendbox.com and webhostingtalk.com.

it should open up sometime this month, what do u guys think of my idea? i will post screenshots of what it looks like soon.

I think it would be a good idea, if you go through with it. What number site is this? There seems to be a new one every month, if you want it to grow, and people to take it seriously, you will need dedication, which I think is lacking here.

i have been planning this more, last ones were cancelled due to impossible-tier coding by one person or a lack of planning/resources.

in fact, here's the planned network (which is slowly being brought up, tommorow the italy server will go online):

US1: Atlanta, Georgia, USA (the server we have now, RamNode.com)
US2: Denver, Colorado, USA (server pending, FDCservers possible?)
EU1: Jena, Germany, EU (server pending, fileMEDIA.de)
EU2: Milan, Italy, EU (server pending, OVerZold aka Iperweb)

COMING SOON (Pending on success of service):
US3: Dallas, Texas, USA (server pending, host TBA)
