OK I have decided that I will go ahead and do the SCRA and SCF1 after a long time off from SC4... I'm going to do them like I did last year with the random.org sequence generator. OK So the team list should read as below. If there is a discrepency with what it should read please post and let me know. Rallies will be seperated into stages now and they will be posted as such. SCF1 Grand Prix will be seperated into Practices, qualifying and the race, I will also include the possibility of rain races and i'll see what I can do on pictures.

The SCF1 circus has arrived in Belguim for the 2010 Belguim Grand Prix! Practice was incident free, the guys knew it was just practice and drove cleanly, keeping their own section on track to themselves.

Setting a quick lap early was Timo Glock(GER) in his toyota.


second was Heikki Kovaleinen(FIN) in his Mclaren, third was frenchman Roman Grosjean,

fourth was Jarno Trulli(ITA), fifth was Raikkonen's(FIN) Ferrari, followed by Alonso(SPN), Heidfeld(GER), Hamilton(GBR), Massa(BRA) and rounding out the field was Robert Kubica(POL).

Qualifying Wrap-up

Welcome to the one hour SCF1, Dry Run, Qualifying session at Belgium’s Spa-Francorchamps Circuit. Qualifying was not as incident free as practice yesterday was.


5 minutes in as Alonso was coming out, Heidfeld was starting his flying lap, and the two made contact out of the La Source Hairpin. It ended with Alonso unable to complete a lap and starting last on the grid, Heidfeld was able to nurse his car back around with what would end up being the ninth fastest time set on Saturday afternoon but was unable to further repair his car. Alonso was checked out by the medical team and cleared to race on Sunday.


Now, to the lap times, Kimi narrowly lost pole to Timo Glock by a hundredths of a second, Massa wound up third, Kubica fourth, Kovalainen fifth, 2008 champion Lewis Hamilton was sixth, followed by Jarno Trulli and last competitively lapping car, Alonso’s teammate Roman Grosjean wound up lapping eighth.


In an interview during qualifying Heidfeld stated, “He cut me off, simple as that he cut me off, I was on a flying lap and he wasn’t, he should’ve stayed to the inside.”

Welcome to SCF1 Race Recap on the Auto Racing Television network, ARTV, pole qualifying yesterday set the grid for today’s Race. Timo Glock seized the pole from Kimi Raikkonen by the smallest of margins. The start for today’s race was very calm for a standing start. Glock came out of turn 1 the leader but by the time the field got up to Les Combes, Raikkonen had taken the point.


First trouble of the day came for Roman Grosjean who had gearbox trouble on lap 5 around pit exit. He made it the second time a Renault was in the final position after teammate Alonso started from shotgun on the grid.


The Pit windows for the Belgian Grand Prix extend from lap 12-14 and 25-28 for two stops, which everyone was doing. On lap 13 Kimi Raikkonen gave up the lead to get his Ferrari serviced by his crew and came out of the pits third, behind teammate Massa and ahead of fourth place Fernando Alonso.


After pit stops cycled around Raikkonen was back on point but starting lap 16, Robert Kubica made contact with Lewis Hamilton and it sent the young Brit careening off into the runoff of La Source . This brought out the Safety Car immediately. Kubica lost his front wing and damaged the nose area but was able to fix the car and return to the track, albeit 1 lap down.


After the second round of pit stops Fernando Alonso went on a tear, going from 24 second behind Massa to only eight tenths by the time the checkered flag flew


but Kimi Raikkonen was able to put twenty one seconds on his closest competitor, pole sitter Timo Glock to take the win.


The battle for sixth though came down to the wire as Heikki Kovalainen and Jarno Trulli came across the line within two tenths of a second of each other.


Robert Kubica remained off pace and finally finished two laps behind Kimi in eighth.


The podium after the race saw the Finnish Anthem come across the loud speakers as Kimi won with Glock second and last on the podium Massa.


Nothing came of yesterday's incident with Hiedfeld and Alonso as they never saw each other on track after the start, Heidfeld staying back on the start and Alonso getting going fast. Heidfeld eventually finished thirteen seconds behind Alonso. This has been the SCF1 Race Recap, i'm simsamerica.
