Welcome to another AAR (after action report) by me! We'll be playing the German Empire that I raised from 1836 until now!

Prologue - The World in 1898

The world in Anno Domini 1898 was very different from the world we know today. Colonial empires were being carved across Afrika. The Amerikas were certainly not dominated by the Amerikan Empire.** And, the Germans also spanned an empire from the Balkans to the Baltic.
**Although it historically was, I had been playing before this, and the USA didn't slice the Empire of Mexico in half, maybe except for some parts of Texas.

In this story, we will focus on the (mis)adventures of the Empire of Germany, the Deutsches Kaiserreich. Officially proclaimed in 1855 after the cession of Alsace-Lorraine to Prussia following the Franco-Prussian War, it now spans from Kiel in the north to Benin in the south, and from Ostpruessen in the east, to Hawaii in the west.

Home to the world's famous Deutsches Afrikakorps, it is technically not autonomous yet, and remains an integral part of Germany.

Next update, we will explore diplomacy and the great powers!
