I checked the settings. I don't see anything that might cause this to happen.
I've heard of bugs like this being fixed simply by a retry. Did you retry?

hmm... well the settings for the SSS private board are set as "only members of the usergroup can write messages" with the exception of admins.
Also after reading through the posts, except for deleting and changing the desing of the site, blakesterville can do almost everything without my permission

Josh is a member of the SSS. That's weird that he can't post on the board.
