Today's Halloween special!

It's the myth of Karkcity's mansion in front of the CBD.
Enjoy!


About 150 years ago, a lovely and spacious mansion was built in a small woodland near Karkcity. The owner loved the house and never let anyone near it. 100 years later, the house was still in the family's posession. The house was one of the most important things to them.
They didn't want anything to happen to it or it's surroundings.


Then, one cold night, some developers walked down the driveway.
They needed permission to build a new business area around the mansion. The owner declined, saying nothing was to ever happen to the house.
Years later, the owner moved to live with family elsewhere, and the house was left empty.
The developers saw this as their chance, and construction started; against the previous owner's wish.







Twenty years later, the construction was complete.













However, the house was in a state of disrepair. It was said to be haunted with several ghosts from the house's past. It was a place to avoid.

Once the area was completed and the businesses moved in, lots of strange incidents occurred around it including crashes and strange noises.

The house looked like this:








The house was a place to avoid. No one has gone near it or even looked at it to this day.

Nice city although I think you have a few too many pedmalls

very nice CBD you have there, and I like how you found a way to incorporate the PEG seasonal house into the update. As for the house, except for the green fog it doesn't seem so strange then again I'm not scared easily

wow i LOVE the rhw and the bridges they look amazing and also the construction is very nice too i cant wait to see more

I often think that looking at many DD's is just a waste of time, however, this was one I definitely think was worth looking at.

I LOVE your transportation systems, your urban development, your RHWs, the general layout and style of your city, and so on. Nice work.

Today's update features Grand Bridge again. It has 3 pictures and a mega mosaic.


A train passes the CBD.


Construction in the bottom right.


The railway line nears the station.


That's all for the pictures, I'm afraid. But, now... behold.. the mosaic! It's a massive 3MB JPEG, and it may take a while to load, but don't give up!

You sure have a very sophisticated transportation system. I like the detail of your work. I don't think that I could do any of this stuff.

hmmm very nice railroad there. My only suggestion/ comment is that a rail line that runs into any CBD is probably two tracks if it has commuter trains

Today's update! These are some older pictures from Part Two of the roadtrip from West Vorland to Hapton Central.


The highway follows the rail line for a while.


Then, the railway enters a tunnel.


Further along, there is more room for the highway and it turns into a RHW-4.


Then there is a junction to the city of Sorton. We'll turn off here to look around.

We then turn left at the main crossroads.


The commercial district. It's nowhere near finished...


An overview.


We then rejoin the highway and continue Eastbound.


The next junction along is to the suburbs of the city.


There is a windfarm near the suburbs.


The highway then bypasses the suburbs.

Today's update... part THREE of the roadtrip!


The highway continues in a straight line.


A smaller road joins the Highway 6. This is seen crossing the railway.


The highway spits at the foot of a large mountain.


It then follows a railway viaduct.


The railway emerges from a tunnel and is then carried on another viaduct.


The highway then continues in a large cutting.

And to finish off.. a region view of Vorland!

I love how the highway, and railroad intertwine along the route. As for that commercial center, I would add streets, and take out some of the ped malls. But still a very nice update

I love that video you made. I can see the progress you've made with this DD. Also very nice stadium, I would however maybe build some commercial areas like resturants and small shops which would make a realistic, stadium shoping area.

At long last.. it's time for the fourth and final instalment in the West Vorland to Hapton Central Roadtrip!


The highway curves with the high embankments on either side.


The highway continues weaving it's way through the countryside.


The highway goes through a tunnel under the logging forest.


The other side of the tunnel, the highway continues through a lush forest.


The highway comes from the north of the picture and then continues west. The east highway continues to the valleys by the river. As you can see, I haven't got round to adding trees or eye-candy yet.

A not-so-clear picture of how the main highway has the right of way. Coming from the right, it curves to the top and the south-northbound carriageway loses one lane.

The highway continues and converts to a 6-lane highway before crossing this bridge over one of the gorges.

There is another intersection. We'll turn off here to have a look.


It is an intersection to the unfinished airport.

The highway continues over a smaller local highway.


We are now in Hapton Central. The highway narrows down to a 4 lane highway, and junctions get tighter.
