Hello, I am Tom if you don't already know, and this is my BAT thread. I have not been BATting too long, but I hope to become very experienced. I have started by making highway signs for the Real Highway by the NAM team, available at Simtropolis. This thread will feature some of my up and coming work. Stay tuned, and you can see my uploads at Simtropolis. Thanks.

Welcome to the team Tom...it's great to have you on board.

I could've sworn you had been BATting longer, your BATs are very nice on the STEX, as are the ratings. Wink

Anyways, welcome again, and happy BATting!

-DC

Thanks everyone, I will post some of my uploaded content here, and pics as I go along. Herehttp://www.simtropolis.com/stex/?p=files&keyword=Tommy7777&view=all is where you can find all of my uploads up to now. I am working on signs and Mass transit lots for now, and I will hopefully do more as I go along, for every BAT I do, I gain more knowledge. As my projects go along, I'll post pictures and such to show. Thanks again everyone.

If you haven't seen yet, I have recently released a subway. Now, the comments I have received were very helpful, and I am making a second version. Here is a picture, and I hope you can give some ideas texture wise. Now this has a bunch of different textures for an idea, and this is not final. Here it is

Please, if you have any recommendations, please say. Thanks

It looks very good and modern. But it's not acessable for someone who needs a wheelchair, therefore it would be nice to see an evelator.

yes an elevator would be nice to see and it would be more modern with that.

How about instead of having stairs and an elevator, you have a floor of which the escalator emerges, and have the elevator on the side.

There is an elevator, and there was one in version one as well. I still have to texture that, but once its done, I'll upload pics of that. The elevator is a prop, but is part of the subway. Just to let you all know.

Ok, here are some pictures of the elevator texture. They are similar to the main subway, and they are meant to be together. Please note that version 1 used both this elevator and the stairs, but had different textures.

The subway v2 hopefully will be released tomorrow, just need to look at the textures and do some finalizing. Does anyone think it be worth it putting something on the roof of either building? Something like a hvac box or something.

maybe something at the evelator's roof, eventually a small roundtop that makes space for the cablewheels of the evelator.

The release will be delayed so I can get some tweaks done, like add some props to the elevator

For everyone waiting for v2, it is on its way. I am still trying to make last minute adjustments, and I hope to have it completed soon. I have been very busy lately, and hope to have another pic soon. Thanks.

Well done, Tommy! I have 3ds Max 2010, I am starting to learn the basics of BATting, but you are better than me! I like all your versions of the subway station, but the people of Simtropolis are harsh when rating. I will visit this thread to see more of whats going on here. Great bat!

Yeah, I have learned that very well. I have been uploading for the last year or so, about 13-14 uploads I believe, and I know how hard some can be when rating. I am still working on it, trying to get everything right on this one.
