With SM3, the forum software conversion left a whole lot of whitespace in the posts. This is due to several things, including the line-height of profiles fields, large user avatars, and the way that signatures are displayed. The line height issue has been fixed, but we are still working on the signatures.
However, due to the considerably different layout of the posts, the avatar restrictions will be changed soon in order to help reduce the post whitespace. The new limit (which will take place mid-March) will be 150x150 pixels
Also, until the signature problem is fixed, we ask that you be mindful that large signatures cause a large amount of whitespace. Large images, etc... can increase the amount of whitespace considerably. We are working to fix this, and we hope that it won't be too much of an inconvenience.
