I plowed into the garage door on a house for sale, and left tire marks on it. I am surprised I didn't put a hole in that one. Had a nice time slamming into things by accident on my bike that year. One of them was the curb. Ow.

My worst Injury were these:

7: Dropped a 5 pound rock on my toe, almost broke it.
8: Ran across wet concrete, slipped, hit my head, put a nice goose egg on it.
10: Riding my bike down a path in the woods, hit a log, bike flipped over, shot me off of it, made me go tumbling down a hill, back tire of the bike hit my leg. That should have knocken me bloody.

So let's hear yours!

Pherhaps when I fractured my (right) hand or when I got a screwdriver stuck in my foot while I was cleaning my room. (That one had me in the E.R. on a wheelchair. Luckily, I got out about three hours later. )

Well it wasn't me hurt but when I was about 7 I was playing basketball with my dad and accidently nailed him in the... flower happy place...

Anyway Smile Personally... well I had a bit of chronic back pain last year when I played football but that was nothing major, I've never really been too hurt...

My ear has been hurting the past week. Might be an ear infection. The accident in this is I never clean them.

Take some rubbing alcohol (Just to clarify, that's not beer -- you might want to look it up on the internet just to make sure it is the right thing, just in case) and place a tiny amount into your hurting ear. Last time I had an ear infection, it saved a trip to the doctor, which was important because we simply didn't have the money to make a trip at that time.

I wouldn't recommend doing that if you are able to make it to the doctor. Doctors are trained in that sort of thing.

I think I might be starting to come down with something in my throat. Ever since this morning it has been really scratchy ( I have all sorts of problems)

Did I also say that a wasp, honeybee, and bumble bee stung me in my life? Wasp on my wrist, honeybee I stepped on, Bumblebee, on the (oh!) neck. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Once, I actually fought the flu off before I got nauseous -- sort of. Well, I came down with the Swine flu three days later, and that lasted two weeks before it was over enough for me to return to normal life.

I'm too lucky for this thread - no bigger incidents.

Just the small stuff everyone has had....

This clearly seems (not) to be a thread for me...

Let's start with the harmless funny stuff, broke the left wrist playing football (european) some 25 years ago. First match I got back on the pitch after that got knocked out by a striker catching me right in the face and broke my nose. Never played seriously afterwards...

Then, the funny to watch one. Missed a curb and managed a triple flip with my car, ending up roof down. F...ed up my left knee hitting the A-bar, nothing else...

And to finish in stile, the one that scared the s..t out of me, but didn't hurt me. A match of Flipper on the Autobahn at 3am at 220 km/h.
Bumped back and forth between the guard rails several times, ending up flash against the right one without any wheels, mirrors, spoilers,... left on the car.

bounce bounce bounce

As far as pain and all that goes, I wish my knees would stop hurting! They hurt whenever I walk on them. It has been doing this the past few days. Mad

So far, I hate to admit but I think mine could be one of the worst, if not the worst. I was in a small plane on a routine flight 7 years ago and it being a Cessna 172 it had one engine. And when one engine goes on fire and you have an engine failure, you are a bit stuck! We had made our mayday call to the airport and we were on our finals when we were hit by a gust of wind (remember - this plane isn't much bigger than a car) and we moved the aircraft upwards to try and loose the defects but reacted too late. The aircraft went into a stall of which was uncontrollable and due to severe stress, when we pitched the nose into the correct angle once we had regained some control, we lost the back section of the aircraft which went straight down - as if somebody had cut the plane into two half's after the wings. The Seats were the first to fall and the tail was more or less at the top facing he sky when it crashed on to the Asphalt runway. We managed to somehow control the front of the aircraft but crashed upon the actual landing where I do not remember anything. I was in a Coma for 97 Days of which after that event I had forgotten about my little brother, who had died in the crash (and in fact was the only fatality of the incident - there was only 3 on board however. I really regret him dying as in a way it was my fault as we were on approach and I had told him to get into the Brace Position onboard a light aircraft (of which is like a normal brace) and because he was seated in the back of the aircraft (I was seated at the front). When the aircraft split he fell to the ground (while seated in his seat with brace position (head first)) and died. I also never got to go to his funeral and I regret that but I was in the Coma. I will never forget that incident and for his respect (to a younger brother who I lost), I have earnt my wings at the age of 14, just over 7 years from the Crash (or half my life)

Well if you feel a sense of responsibility for it... well, that must be a lot worse than your physical injuries. I could only imagine the pain of that, especially at your age.

I'm sorry you've had to deal with this kind of experience.

Not many 7 year olds have that to remember. I'm sorry you've had to experience this, especially at that age. That must be very tough.

Thanks for the responses, they mean a lot to me Smile. Had a tough day thinking about it today, not because I wrote it on here but because I think I might be the only survivor soon because the other survivor is critically unwell
