Hello all,

I have been spending a lot of time with 3dsmax 2013 this week and I have been following tutorials on youtube. Even though this is a very early step I though I would show the very simple house that I have modeled. Any feedback and advice is welcome.

Looks cool, it reminds me of those tiny hotel building in monopoly game Razz

Did you make this house out of one box? Can you show us the turtorial link that shows how to?

Looks wonderful, Elavery!! I'm so excited for your BATs! I'm around to help you whenever you need it. Smile

Logginin: It is out of one box, I believe with poly modeling, if I remember correctly. I think Elavery still has the link.

Hello all,

Thank you for your comments, the link to the tutorial is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V92fCI-U19o

I have been playing around with some texturing, mostly just learning the tools and methods. So far I have this which I realise looks crap but at least I have figured out a few things.

As always, I appreciate comments and help.

Replace your brick texture with this one- https://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i363/Frex_Ceafus/NewBrickTextureforhishouse_zps6c347f5b.jpeg

And set the new UWV maps for this brick to:

Length-10m
Width-10m
Height-4.5m

And it should look really good.

Thanks for the texture frex, I don't however understand where in the process I should enter the UVW Map values.

That is a fine house you have modeled elavery. I see the potential for it to become awesome

You should provide a preview shot, that would be better.
I think you should extract the roof abit on the edges, or maybe add some water pipes (the pipes that collect rain water from the room) to the edges.
You should also use the UVW mapping: edit poly->select the faces you want to edit their texutres->and just play with the numbers and options, it should resize the size of those bricks, and the roof tiles
I like the texture that ceafus 88 provided
