Swindon is a remote area. Its terrain is unusually beautiful. Trees are scarce and can only be found in small patches, but the ones that do grow are quite tall. There are mountains of a medium height across both sides of a wide river with very tall mountains nearby. The grass isn't very green despite a lot of rainfall. Its either the type of grass, or the soil isn't very rich. I suspect its a combination of both. The trees are evergreens, and since they're scant there is little to no leaves on the ground at all to make the soil nice. But the large amounts of rainfall and minerals in the soil make it good for farming. As for the grass itself, I think a lot of it has oats. But most of it is only slightly green.

Somehow people are drawn to this region. I've spent time studying this region, and I think its because of fertile lands, daily rain showers. It's not hot or cold, the temperature is quite consistent throughout the year, less than a 2*C difference between summer and winter. So I reported back to some people ready to move and told them to come up. So they did, and named their new town Green Coast. After the first group arrived I was told hundreds of others might come along too. They didn't see it coming, but I did. This was the start of something huge.

Apparently a lot of people have come here to the region of Swindon because of the terrible wars which plagued their homeland. Some say the wars were caused by imperialism. Others say it is revenge. I say the former, because my home country has been attempting to capture Swindon for quite a while. So why did they come here if they were just going to claim the land anyway?

The population began increasing. Farms popped up everywhere and the region's first school was also established. After village grows to town and town to city this must remain as a historic site, I thought. So I decided to order all new development to be outside of this area, and a sort of boundary be established to tell what areas are historic and what areas aren't.

I was beginning to enjoy this place more and more.

Let me tell you about life here in Swindon. As you know, most of us are refugees of war. A great part of our homeland has been destroyed, but thankfully, I knew about this land and purchased it from the government for a large sum of money. It costed most of my fortune, but it's worth living here instead of living back at home.

I brought my immediate family with me - my three children and my wife. I would like to know what happened to my friends and neighbors - if they were killed by the rebellion, are being held and tormented, or if they fled to a new country or even a remote area like my family and this group of (as of right now) about 2,400 settlers with me. We traveled for days through deserts, mountains, and grasslands on limited rations. Boats are now coming in thanks to a new boat dock. Some people brought their vehicles with them too, so roads are a necessity already.

The two villages of Green Coast and Meadowlands, as they had come to be called, were close to eachother, and Meadowlands was the one with the dock. Because of this, it grew more rapidly. It, however, has considerably larger pieces of land for use as farms.

As of right now the region's population is about 7,800. From a satellite view, this doesn't look like there are 7,800 people living here, but there are. They're dispersed across three towns of about an equal distance apart. One is expected to be home to some factories and buildings of that nature soon. I already approved construction of a coal power plant, which, when the proper infrastructure is complete, will power the entire region.

There's a new four lane highway in Green Coast along with a development plan, as demand is increasing.

Traffic started becoming bad at some intersections so some minor infrastructure improvements are becoming required.

This region, full of war refugees or descendants of war refugees was once bare, empty land, but is now home to a growing capitalist society. It would be time very soon to establish our government as settlers here, and make ourselves known to the world.
