Some of you might find it similar to..... something

Please! Sign this petitition to stop this insanity!

ACTA - a global treaty - could allow corporations to censor the Internet. Negotiated in secret by a small number of rich countries and corporate powers, it would set up a shadowy new anti-counterfeiting body to allow private interests to police everything that we do online and impose massive penalties -- even prison sentences -- against people they say have harmed their business.

Europe is deciding right now whether to ratify ACTA -- and without them, this global attack on Internet freedom will collapse. We know they have opposed ACTA before, but some members of Parliament are wavering -- let's give them the push they need to reject the treaty.

Acta is a global problem and we're trying to make EU block it.

seeing that SOPA was actually intended to be enforced on a worldwide scale, ACTA is just as big of a problem, not including the fact that it's a multinational agreement.

Things like SOPA/PIPA and ACTA are what happens when lobbyists and multinational companies have too big of a say in government...

It's actually the other way round. Acta is a global agreement, SOPA just national on US...... SOPA can alo be seen as one thing to enforce ACTA in US.

that's what I meant, sorry.

Another problem is the fact that acta doesn't apply strictly to the internet :./
