Hi everyone,

After a very long and unexpected break from SimCity, I am returning. Due to schoolwork and summer break, I had forgotten about SimCity and the Simtropolis BAT Team. I have a request for the Simtropolis BAT Team, and it may seem odd due to my absence, but I request to be a mapper for the team again. If you accept, I warn you that I will sometimes be gone for a week or two.

First, I don't hate Chris either.

Second, I'll work to get the Simtropolis BAT team going again as far as the board and everything. It seems that I don't have a list of members for it, so for the private discussion board to return I'll need a list of SBT members which you can PM me. I should have things up shortly.

Alright, thanks. I'll build a list. I think the two members I know are DCMetro and meister.

Hey everybodyhateschris. I haven't seen you around yet except for earlier in ST chat, and it's great to see another member becoming active!

You should consider making a mapping thread in the BAT Diaries section of the site, here: https://simmania.darkbb.com/f18-bat-diaries.

You will be able to get feedback from members of this site, and maybe future ideas for maps, too.

May I say you picked a perfect time to return, since we have been putting the finishing touches on the new design.

I have the public board and a private discussion set up now for the SBT. The private discussion is attached to the public discussion board so you'll have to go there to see it but only group members can see the private discussion. I've done it this way because site admins can see all boards on the site, including private discussions, and it's just cleaner on the homepage for admins as well as SBT members that way.

Basically, SBT members will see the private discussion at the top when you enter the SBT board and the private discussion will be visible only to SBT members. Non SBT members will not see that unless that user is an admin but they will see the public board. They will see it as a normal board, though, without the private board attached to it. If you are writing a topic for the private discussion, go to the private discussion first and start it there. If you are writing it publicly, just write it directly from the public board without going into the private board. They are two completely different boards so it will work that way.

You should also be able to add members to it from the usergroups tab under the site logo. Since you are labeled as the group moderator, you won't have to ask an admin to do it for you. Another thing to note is that automatically when you do that, the person that you've added will be granted access to the private discussion, so that's something you can control as well.

Chris: Good question. I assume that will be you so I'll probably get that done within a few days unless Mayorm has any objection to it.

idk who would moderate it. But maybe we should let the SBT pick who wants to moderate it.Thats just a suggestion though
