Monstrous earthquake and tsunami cause chaos in Japan and the Ring of Fire

Late last night, I watched a tsunami wipe out farmlands, send houses swimming, set oil refineries ablaze, and put people (the ones that were still alive) in a state of terror. It was the saddest and scariest thing I've ever seen on live television (yes, live television) since the September 11 attacks.

As most people by now (especially those on the Ring of Fire) have already heard, an 8.9 magnitude quake (one of the biggest in history) shook Northern Japan and sent Tsunami's inland and across the Pacific. And things aren't getting any better; a refinery has already been destroyed, and a nuclear plant is in great danger of causing even more trouble.

Tsunami's have struck Oregon and Northern California, Hawaii, and many more islands in the Pacific Ocean.

This is a very sad event. I'm sure many thoughts and prayers are with the people whose lives have been affected by this awful natural disaster.
